New Energy is excited to be involved in the construction of a 5.2 MW solar farm on 6.1 hectares of land in the north-east corner of Gisborne Airport. The expected generation of 7343 MWh of renewable energy per annum is enough to power the equivalent of approximately 1000 typical homes.
When finished, New Energy will have installed 7,980 bi-facial solar panels and completed the reticulation for the project. New Energy begun construction at the beginning of 2023 and the solar farm is expected to be generating electricity in September 2023.
