New Energy is working with Infratec and Lodestone to install a utility scale solar farm near Kaitaia.
The Kaitaia solar farm will be New Zealand’s largest solar farm when complete. The 32MW solar plant will have 60,000 solar panels and will supply electricity directly to a Top Energy substation, where it will help power the local mill. The project will also incorporate native replanting with just over 7 hectares of the property to be revegetated.
New Energy will complete the Reticulation, Pile Driving and Solar Panel Construction on this project and also oversee the Civil works in conjunction with Connell Contractors, and Electrical installation in conjunction with ElectroNet.
